QUL-certificate
The QUL certificate (Qualitätsverband umweltverträgliche Latexmatratzen e.V.) is awarded to products that are environmentally friendly and harmless to health.
The certificate is only awarded to members of the QUL and is valid for one year.

Requirements and conditions
- Purpose:
Award of environmentally friendly medical furniture and bedding with latex components. - Criteria:

- Chemical testing:
Proof of the absence of residues of harmful ingredients; to be carried out annually. - Mechanical testing:
Proof of suitability for use and durability; to be renewed every three years in accordance with DIN EN 1957. - Goods flow control:
Ensures that the certificate is only used for tested materials; criteria defined by the General Assembly.

- Latex mattresses:
Mattresses that contain latex components. - Furniture and bedding:
Environmentally friendly medical furniture and bedding with latex components. - Equipment for repositioning patients:
Products that contain latex components and are used for repositioning patients. - Beds:
Beds with latex components. - Bedding:
Bedding that contains latex components. - Pillows and cushions:
Pillows and cushions that contain latex components (finished products or materials).
QUL certificate: Certification body
The certification body for the QUL certificate is the Qualitätsverband umweltverträgliche Latexmatratzen e.V. (QUL) itself.
